East Anglia Green

say no to pylons
We would like to make you aware of the impact the East Anglia Green proposal by National Grid will have on Little Bromley.  National Grid propose to reinforce the high voltage power network in East Anglia between Norwich and Tilbury. This will result in 180km of 50 metre high pylons supporting new 400,000 volts (400 kV) electricity overhead transmission cables. There are typically 3 or 4 of these pylons per km. National Grid also propose the building of a new substation to connect new offshore wind farms to the electricity transmission network. National Grid want to build this substation in Little Bromley and we understand that the site will be over 23 Hectares.
We need your help to fight this by signing the on-line petition - www.pylonseastanglia.co.uk and writing your objections to our local District Councillor (nrstock [at] outlook.com) and MP (bernard.jenkin.mp [at] parliament.uk). The cut-off for responses is 16th June so please act soon.
We will be posting any developments on the Little Bromley Facebook page and the Little Bromley website.
Lastly, the National Grid will be holding a Consultation at the Venture Centre, Lawford on Saturday 28th May from 10am to 4pm where you will be able to ask questions and air your views.
Thank you for supporting this.
