Response to National Grid - The Great Grid Upgrade - Norwich to Tilbury 2023 Non Statutory Consultation

Little Bromley Parish Council have submitted their response to The Great Grid Upgrade - Norwich to Tilbury 2023 Non Statutory Consultation.

Please note that the response deadline is Monday 21 August 2023.  We encourage you to respond with your views before the deadline.  Please send your response to contact [at] n-t.nationalgrid.com and don't forget to copy in your MP Bernard Jenkin (bernard.jenkin.mp [at] parliament.uk) and Little Bromley Parish Council (littlebromleypc [at] gmail.com).

It is worth noting again that the only reason that Five Estuaries and North Falls are looking to locate their infrastructure in Little Bromley is because National Grid are choosing to locate their new substation on the Little Bromley/Ardleigh border.  They have also contracted with another energy provider called Tarchon who will construct an interconnector between the UK and Germany to share electrical power.  The technologies used require a Converter substation and a Connection substation is built to allow connection into the National Grid substation.  We have real concern that this will further affect Little Bromley.
