An enjoyable day was had by all, with the weather making it "interesting" without spoiling the event.
Thanks to all who came. Both music and were much appreciated - a home grown effort with local musicians and flowers from nearby gardens and hedgerows.
It was good to see so many people from Little Bromley and beyond.
Visitors commented on how much they enjoyed the chance to relax in such a lovely place and chat to old friends and new acquaintances.
The Amenities Committee had a board and leaflets on display to advertise plans for more community events in Little Bromley.
We weren't trying to raise money but the donations of over £350 will help to maintain the churchyard and the Churches Conservation Trust.
A big thank you to all who gave their time and talents to make the weekend a success.

The friends of Little Bromley Church hope that you will enjoy a visit to this beautiful and peaceful country church. The Flowers All the flowers will be wild or garden flowers from Little Bromley and neighbouring villages. The Music All the music events over the weekend are informal - come and go as you please. The music will be a varied selection of short pieces. The Bells The church bells will be rung on Saturday, before and after Evensong. Donations All donations will be given to the Churches Conservation Trust and for the upkeep of Lt Bromley Churchyard. Performers Sam Piper is a member of the National Youth Choir and is currently preparing for a Cambridge choral scholarship. Peter Bumstead studied music at Christ's College, Cambridge, and is one of England's leading pipe organ restorers. He will play both the historic Lt Bromley organ and a continuo organ built by himself. Dorothy O'Grady and Gregory Frostick were raised all the way over in Great Bromley, their late father Charles being Little Bromley born and bred. |
